3 Things to Consider When Planning Your Multi Day Wedding Event

Consider booking an a la carte venue.

This gives you a blank slate to work with. A larger indoor space with access to outdoors opens much more possibilities to bring your vision to life. Some venue are only available for your wedding reception, you may want to consider the same space for a welcome dinner, rehearsal farewell brunch. You can transform a larger more versatile space for multi occasions.

What elements of your wedding are most important to you?

Food, traditional ceremony, decor, multi spaces, rain or shine plans? Getting the right photos?

Not having restricted rules and versatility are on the top of couples venue needs. We spoke with Zach Stewart from The Regent in Riverview Florida.

He expands on that idea, "Our clients love choosing where they spend their money. We had an Indian wedding a few months ago where the family wanted a very luxurious furniture setup in the front hall. We had enough room for 400 guests and a beautiful lounge area that was left set up for several days during all the ceremonies."

"The most important thing is to hire a planner who is familiar with your cultural needs, and can connect you with the proper vendors. The right planner will keep you on track with your budget and resources." The Regent also hosted a large Nigerian family wedding of 400 people. They were able to find a planner who could coordinate all of the many different ceremonies and outfit changes. The Regent even worked with the planner to find hotel accommodations for over 350 of those guests. Having team work between the venue and planner proved to be invaluable.

Allowing outside caterers can be a huge plus!

Keeping dietary needs in mind for cultural or religious reasons can be challenging with some venues. Zach suggests, "When touring your venues, be sure to inquire about the caterers available. Do they have any preferred vendors that can accommodate all of your restrictions? If their preferred caterers can not accommodate your needs, discuss bringing in an outside caterer!"
